Position Overview:

The copywriter will also work on short & long-form content including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, compelling email copy & more. Will be responsible for developing compelling, regular communications to our internal & external stakeholders including employees, patients, families, referral partners, regulators, government officials, investors and insurance payers. Ideal candidates possess personal or professional experience in addiction recovery or in the addiction treatment industry. Direct response and content writing projects will be used as a function of marketing in internal communications, external messaging, talking points, website content, print collateral, digital campaigns and more. Specific Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, concise, and compelling ad copy and messaging for a variety of audiences including patients, families, internal employees, government officials, industry and state regulators, insurance payers and investors

  • Gain an exceptional understanding of our products, services and our various audiences quickly

  • Craft compelling narratives and stories which resonate emotionally with our various target audiences

  • Manage complex projects with little direction

  • Help users understand how to progress through the patient lifecycle

  • Write cohesive educational narratives across multiple touchpoints

  • Investigate and implement new means of communicating with our users (e.g. different media, new places to include content)

  • Provide feedback and edit content generated by others

  • Hone your craft and build a culture of communication through self-driven projects

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience developing compelling ad copy with proven results as well as internal company communications which drive engagement

  • A portfolio that demonstrates an ability to sell products and services across a variety of different audiences

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to proactively reach out to information sources, both internal and external, and pull information in order to meet project requirements and deadlines

  • Comfort using and explaining rationale behind your writing choices

  • Sensitivity to language

  • Ability to understand products, programs and features and communicate their value to the appropriate audiences

  • A strong visual design sense, including the ability to identify places where images are more effective than words

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams

  • (Bonus) Knowledge of the addiction treatment industry

  • (Bonus) Experience with writing for SEO

Customer Service: Demonstrates concern for meeting internal and external customers' needs in a manger that provides satisfaction for the customer within the resources that can be made available.

Work Environment: May work in a variety of environments including professional offices, clinics, hospitals, or out-patient facilities. They spend much of their time on their feet, actively working with patients.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
